2025 Leadership Award | Broad College of Business, Michigan State University

Nthanda Manduwi was honored with the 2025 Leadership Award by the Broad College of Business MBA classes of 2025 and 2026 at Michigan State University. The award recognizes outstanding leadership, positive influence, and significant contributions to the MBA community during the first year of the program.

Throughout her first year, Nthanda contributed meaningfully to the Michigan State community โ€” balancing her academic journey with impactful roles, including serving as a Teaching Assistant in the College of Engineering, supporting global student projects, and being elected as the incoming President of the Black MBA Association for 2025โ€“2026.

In her personal reflection on receiving the award, Nthanda shares her journey of seeking belonging, embracing self-awareness through leadership assessments like the DISC profile, and anchoring herself in the values of collaboration, humility, and purposeful growth.

She expresses deep gratitude to the Broad College community, her classmates, mentors, and the admissions teams who made her experience at Michigan State transformative.
