In May 2024, Ms. Manduwi was invited by the University of Malawi’s Economics Department to deliver a lecture to the graduating class of 2024 during their exit interview on the power of networking, building connections, and personal branding.
In support of the International Decade for People of African Descent, Nthanda was recognised as on of 100 “Most Influential People of African Descent” under 40.
Nthanda was selected as a part of the Africa Climate Ambassadors Programme (ACAP) 2024 cohort. The year long programme brings together 18 of Africa’s leaders to champion the climate change opportunity narrative within their spheres of influence across the continent.
In May, 2024, the W.H. Gates Sr. Institute and the Family Planning News Network (FPNN) took a group of journalists and content creators to Malawi to report on the transformative power of family planning and reproductive health.
Nthanda Manduwi was featured in the TTY Brand Africa Magazine – the Women’s History Month
Nthanda was entrusted as the first global media scholar to set the tone of the International Conference on Family Planning (#ICFP2022) Live Stage as one of the #FPNN Debut Anchors and Live Community Host.
Nthanda, through the Ntha Foundation established Bants2Business – a multi-platform networking forum that connects young global south entrepreneurs and businesses in various industries to growth opportunities.
Nthanda led young Malawian entrepreneurs in a conversation with policy makers in the Malawi Government, discussing how the youth-centric MIP-1 in the Malawi 2063 can be better implemented to be inclusive of the youth.
